Those who are familiar with African proverbs will easily appreciate this proverb, which states that exhibition of valuable characters by a young child is a pointer to their greatness later in life. While growing up, such was the lot of character exhibition of Deji Bello who is now an accomplished and visionary young man today.
At a private level, tracing his history may be a needless venture unless he decides otherwise. But for being a politician with clear motivation, it is best to place the details of his life in their liquid and solid states in public domain, for politicians are managers of public affairs.
Fondly called DJ by his friends and admirers, Ayodeji Lukman Bello was born and brought up in Iwo, Osun State. He attended the famous Our Lady of Fatima in Iwo for his elementary studies, after which he proceeded to Local Authority Commercial Grammar School also in Iwo.
Upon the completion of his pre-tertiary studies, he secured an admission into the internationally renown University of Ilorin where he earned a B.Sc. in Physics with Minor in Mathematics and Statistics.
Unlike many young men who feel satisfied after obtaining a first degree, Deji Bello headed for the United States of America to continue his studies and accomplish his greater dreams and was offered an admission into the Virginia International University, Fairfax, VA in the United States where he was awarded an M.Sc. in Information System.
The popular contention that the pursuit of one’s dreams is a pursuit of happiness applies in his life choice. After obtaining an M.Sc, one would have easily thought Deji Bello was done with academic studies. But he proved that thought wrong. He was later seen at Strayer University, Rosewell, GA in US vigorously pursuing Graduate Certification in Software Engineering. He is today, by virtue of his dedication and distinction, a certified and highly revered Software Engineer.
Besides being an accomplished Chief Executive Officer of his flourishing company, this young engineer has worked with some reputable software engineering firms such as HCA, Nashville, Tennessee and UBS, Nashville, Tennessee both in US as Senior Software Developer and Senior Software Analyst.
A check at his contributions to human development reveals in the community that he is a big believer in empowering people’s minds and training them on useful skills to make them better individuals. No wonder he never minces words at any occasion that “my passion for politics life is driven by human development”.
