Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra state, has reaffirmed that the local government election scheduled for Sept. 28 is unstoppable.
He made this declaration during an interactive meeting with All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidates at the Prof. Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Centre in Awka.
Attendees included local government chairmen, party chairmen, state working committee members, and State Executive Council members.
As APGA’s National Leader, Soludo commended the party hierarchy’s hard work and urged Anambra citizens to participate in the election, assuring that movement would be restricted on election day.
He praised the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC) and State Assembly members for prioritizing Anambra’s citizens interests.
Soludo encouraged candidates to showcase their plans for the state’s development.
Emphasizing APGA’s unity, Soludo recognized Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa as the factional National Chairman, expressing confidence that the lawful resolution would be implemented soon.
Earlier, Anambra State APGA Chairman, Barr. Ifeatu Obiokoye attributed the party’s growth to Governor Soludo’s leadership and predicted APGA’s victory in the election.
Dignitaries present included Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, Speaker of the Anambra Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, and Chief of Staff to the Governor Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, among others.
