Six days after a concerned citizen made a distress call to the Divisional Police Officer, in IGBEBA, that rival cult engaged themselves at Ijagun in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, where one “Mosquito was sh0t, match£d and his left hand sever£d and taken away by his kill£ers.
Following, previous reports, today the 17th of August,2024 one of the cult!sts that participated in the murd£r of Mosquito has been arrest£d at about 003hrs in a hideout in Isiwo,Ijebu and presently undergoing police preliminary investigation in IGBEBA Division.
Credible information was provided by the public which sustained the police tracks that indicated the hideout of the fleeing susp£cts.
Upon receiving this information, a team of detectives promptly mobilized and took action by moving to the location, where one susp£ct- Adekunle Adebajo aka Kunle Polly, 34 years old from Itun Oke Ijebu Isiwo; was apprehended.
During interrogations, Kunle Polly admitted to being a member of the Eiye confraternity, this prompted a search
warrant to be conducted at his residence and it led to the recovery of a Beretta pistol with six live rounds, two UTC axes, and charms.
Investigation is ongoing to unravel the pattern of severing left hand of their victims and to arr£st other crim!m!nals that fled the hideout.
An assurance from the Commissioner of Police CP Alamutu Abiodun Mustapha psc, resonates hopes to Isiwo Ijebu community , Ijagun and Ijebu Ode,that the era of cult!sm in Ogun State is past and that the remaining susp£CT’s will be brought to justice for their crim£s.
