In a significant contribution to community development, Hon. Kevin Solomon Olaolu, the Senior Special Assistant on Students Affairs, also the Patron of Irekari Association of Bike Men, officially handed modern park for bikemen during the Irekari Day 2024 celebration.The event, held in Idoani, Irekari LCDA, saw the participation of various community dignitaries, highlighting the importance of the occasion.
In his address, Hon. KSO praised the bikemen association for their unity and dedication to the growth of the community. He emphasized that the modern park would play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students, while also enhancing security by preventing unauthorized individuals from operating as bikemen. The park is expected to bring greater organization and safety to the local transportation system.
Hon. KSO also took the opportunity to stress the importance of formal education, urging bikemen with degrees who have yet to find employment to submit their CVs for potential job opportunities. He encouraged the bikemen to prioritize their children’s education, underscoring the value of investing in their future. Additionally, he provided guidance on accessing NELFUND, a financial resource aimed at supporting educational endeavors, outlining the necessary steps to benefit from the fund.
Demonstrating his commitment to the community’s educational needs, Hon. KSO donated ₦200,000 to the bikemen association. This fund is intended to assist with the educational expenses of their children, and essential learning materials. The donation reflects Hon. KSO’s ongoing dedication to promoting education and supporting the welfare of the community.
