Nollywood actress Ini Dima-Okojie has disclosed that her fibroids have returned despite undergoing surgery two years ago. The actress initially discovered her condition in 2017 and underwent a myomectomy in 2022 to remove the fibroids, which had given her hope of a resolution.
On Thursday, Dima-Okojie took to Instagram to share a video detailing her recent experience with the recurring symptoms of fibroids. She used the platform to encourage other women to undergo timely medical tests.
In the video, Dima-Okojie announced that she plans to explore alternative methods to address the fibroids, as she seeks a more permanent solution. She wrote in the video’s caption: “My Fibroid Journey! I never imagined I’d be sharing this again after my last update on 30/12/2020, but here I am. My journey with fibroids isn’t over—I recently learned they’ve returned.”
She expressed solidarity with other women facing similar challenges, emphasizing her hope to change the narrative and find a lasting remedy for fibroids.
