Nigerian singer Young Jonn has opened up about the toughest challenge he faced in transitioning from a producer to a full-fledged performing artist. In a recent interview with media personality Isi Ijewere on her YouTube segment, Backstage Banter, Young Jonn revealed that the biggest hurdle was self-convictionβbelieving in his own ability to succeed as an artist.
When asked about the hardest part of this transition, he shared, βThe toughest challenge was convincing myself that I could do it. I often found myself questioning if I truly wanted to pursue this path, and it was hard to convince myself that I was capable.β
He also discussed personal moments, mentioning that he last cried when he lost his mother and acknowledged that people often lie to themselves to feel better. Regarding his biggest pet peeve, he said, βI donβt like people who arenβt true to themselves. Itβs important to be genuine with oneself to be genuine with others.β
