In a remarkable display of commitment and dedication, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s administration has shown its unwavering support for the women in Ondo State. Despite the challenges posed by unfavorable weather conditions, the Special Advisers on Women Affairs, led by Dr. Seun Osamaye, braved the odds to visit the long-neglected communities that have been overlooked for over 40 years.
The team, consisting of various women leaders and stakeholders, including the SSA Women Affairs, the Chairman of all Artisans in Akure North, and the APC Akure North LG Women Leader, among others, made their way to the seven camps of the Ajagbusi community to interact with the women residing there. Through the distribution of food items and cash gifts, the government reaffirmed its commitment to improving the livelihoods of women in rural areas and ensuring that they are not left out of governance initiatives.
While addressing the people, Dr Osamaye insisted that Aiyedatiwa remains the best candidate in the forthcoming Gubernatorial Election. She said “With Governor Aiyedatiwa at the helm, we are truly taking government to the grassroots and making a difference in the lives of the people.”
The Odatiwa Women Initiatives, spearheaded by the dedicated team of Special Advisers on Women Affairs, are working tirelessly to address the needs of vulnerable populations in Ondo State. By taking proactive measures and bringing government support directly to the grassroots level, the administration is making significant strides in promoting inclusivity and equity in governance.
This visit to the neglected communities is a testament to Governor Aiyedatiwa’s strong advocacy for gender equality and women empowerment. Through continued efforts and initiatives like these, the government is prioritizing the welfare and well-being of all women in Ondo State, ensuring that no one is left behind.
