With a renewed hope initiative by the Federal Government and In a bid to ensure that adequate housing is provided at an affordable rate for Nigerians and most especially the people of Osun state, the proactive lawmaker representing the good people of Ayedaade/Irewole/Isokan Federal constituency at the Green chamber of the National Assembly, doubled as the Deputy Chairman House committee on Housing and habitats, Hon. Lanre Oladebo today received the Honourable Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Architect Musa Dangiwa and the Honourable Minister of State for Urban Development, Hon. Tijani Gwarzo and their entourage to Osun state for the groundbreaking of 250 Housing Unit in Abeere, the state capital.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Chairman on Housing and Habitats, Hon. Lanre Oladebo appreciated the Federal Government and lauded her efforts and commitment to promoting housing development across the country. He charged the contractors on the importance of delivering the project within the three months scheduled and strictly in line with specifications, saying the lawmakers would visit the site to conduct oversight. He equally showered encomium on the Federal Government through the Honourable Minister for making Osun one of the top beneficiaries of the renewed Hope initiatives. In the end, they appreciated the Governor Adeleke-led administration for making the initiative workable as planned and executed by the Federal Government and also for providing a suitable land and environment where the housing estate is located.
The Honourable Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Architect Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, in his speech, urged the contractors handling the projects to build according to specifications given to them. Also, the Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Tijani Gwarzo noted in his remarks that the overall intention of the programme is to turn the country into a huge construction site, unlock the power of the housing sector to create jobs, and boost economic development.
However, after the flag-off session was completed, visitation was made to the ongoing construction of the Federal Secretariat in Osogbo where the project would be scheduled for commissioning in about 3 to 4 months immediately after the project is completed.
