Tamuno Williams, a lawyer, discussed the conflict between Governor Fubara and his predecessor, former Governor Nyesom Wike. According to Williams, Governor Fubara initially pledged to avoid disputes with Wike upon taking office.
He claimed that during the first six months of Fubaraās tenure, Wike maintained significant influence over the governance of Rivers State.
In a video (15:02) shared by Channels TV, Williams said Governor Fubara was not allowed to make key appointments, and the Rivers state aircraft were under Wikeās control, making Fubara seem like a puppet.
In Tamuno Williams words in a recent video dropped, he explained saying, āEven the state aircraft were under the control of former Governor Wike, the picture was that Governor Fubara was supposed/meant to be a puppet, he was supposed to be just an occupier.
In fact, what was expected was that Fubaraās first term was an extension of the tenure of Governor Wike.”
