According to an independent study by CIES Football Observatory, William Saliba has topped a compilation of the most valuable centre-backs in world football right now.
It gets better for Arsenal – even Gabriel Magalhaes has made it to the top spots, bagging the fourth spot.
The results have been deduced based on estimated transfer value on the back of a season where the Gunners once again finished as Premier League runner-ups.
They are joined by elite centre-backs like Ruben Dias and Alphonso Davies, which just goes to show how impactful Arsenal have been.
Thanks to Saliba and Magalhaes’ partnership, the Gunners ended 2023/24 conceding just 29 goals in 38 league games – the lowest among all sides involved.
