Neymar was seen poking fun at Cristiano Ronaldo after his Al-Hilal side beat Al-Nassr to win the Saudi Arabian King’s Cup.
The Brazilian was watching from the stands due to injury but took time to share a joke with supporters in the Middle East as his side won on penalties in an entertaining affair.
CR7 couldn’t hide his disappointment after the full-time whistle, as Al Nassr missed out on yet another piece of silverware.
Captured and posted on social media, supporters inside the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium were joined by Neymar and his friends to deliver chants of ‘Messi, Messi’.
The jibe was obviously aimed at Cristiano who has shared a long-running rivalry with the Argentine.
Messi and Neymar enjoyed wholesale success during their team at Barcelona and it was clear to see the former PSG star still holds his former team-mate in high regard.
Having formed a formidable partnership alongside Luis Suarez, the trio won countless trophies during their time with the Spanish giants.
With the Saudi Pro League season having now been brought to a close, it has been a successful campaign for Neymar and his Al-Hilal side.
Managed by former Benfica boss Jorge Jesus, Al-Hilal romped to win the title by 14 points from Al-Nassr, without losing a game along the way.
Neymar featured just three times across the season due to his ACL tear back in October but has spoken candidly about his first season in the Saudi top flight.
“I’m obviously very happy,” he told media recently.
“Winning titles is always good. It would have been better to be on the pitch, but I’m very happy for my teammates.
“I’m fine. I feel good. I’m eager to get back on the pitch. The fans are amazing.
“Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to give them the happiness they deserve, but they can be sure we’ll have a lot of fun next season.”
