Ada Bekwarra II, who is also the immediate past Commissioner for Youths and Skills Acquisitions, Honourable Signor Omang Idiege, FCIA, FIIA, JP2, has commended the Cross River State Governor, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu and his Deputy, Rt Hon Peter Odey for their remarkable achievements within their first year in office. Reflecting on the Governor’s performance, the former commissioner praised the administration’s dedication to fostering development, stability, and prosperity in the state.
Governor Otu, who assumed office on May 29, 2023, has prioritized key areas such as infrastructure, and Economic development.
Ada Bekwarra II highlighted several initiatives that have brought significant benefits to the people of Cross River State.
“Under Governor Otu’s leadership, the state has witnessed substantial improvements in infrastructure, security, the renovation and construction of major road networks have enhanced connectivity between rural and urban areas, facilitating easier access to services.”
“It is clear that within just 365 days of Otu’s assumption of office, his administration’s efforts have begun producing the desired results in Cross River state. This is particularly evident in the visible daily progress in infrastructural and human capital development.”
“A few days ago, His Excellency secured $3.5 billion in funding from Afreximbank for deep seaport and superhighway infrastructure projects in a bid to access international trade markets, which should boost economic development in the state.”
“As the Governor embarks on his second year in office, the people of Cross River State remain hopeful and optimistic about the future under his capable stewardship.”
