…ACCEPT CLUB’S GRAND PATRON HONOR
… PROMISE TO BE AN ACTIVE GOLF PLAYER.
The Crosscreek Golf Club, Ilado-Akure Captain Inaugural Tournament received a heavy boost as the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Honourable Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa throw his weight behind the event.
Gov.Aiyedatiwahas also confirmed his acceptance of the Grand Patron of the Club bestowed on him which induction is scheduled to hold between Friday 17th and Saturday 18th May,2024.
Aiyedatiwa made the promise that Ondo State Government will support the Tournament and other means to enhance the promotion of the game of Golf through the Club in the State.Â
The Governor made these promises on Tuesday while receiving the Captain,Mr.Isaac Shedowo and the Clubs Executives on a courtesy visit to the Governor’s office at Alagbaka -Akure .
He expressed his satisfaction on the socio-economic impact the Crosscreek Golf Club has brought to Ilado-Akure and by extension Akure metropolis.
Saying,” it is our duty as government to support any private driven innovation and genuine efforts geared towards the development of the state.
It is also our duty to continue to provide supports and collaborations through provision of social amenities and security to encourage more rapid development.
He equally acknowledged the great contributions of some of the Executive members of the golf club for their various supports towards his government and the state as a whole.
And on a lighter mood promised that with his new designate as the Patron of the Club he will endeavor to be and active golf player and will encourage members of his cabinet to embrace the golfing as a healthy way of life.
In his address,the Captain, Shedowo congratulate Gov.Aiyedatiwa on his victory emerging as the All Progressives Congress, APC Party Flagbearer at the gubernatorial Primary.
Shedowo commended the Governor for his past support to the Crosscreek Golf Club and for his superlative delivery within the short time on the saddle as the State Chief Executive and Security Officer.
He said it is note worthy for the Executive and Members of Crosscreek Golf Club to pay a solidarity to his government by way of this courtesy visit and taking the campaign for Golfing as a healthy way of life to his doorstep.
He concluded his address by thanking the Governor and his executive for their support to the Club and promised the clubs support vice versa.
