The good people of Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, has declared their total support to deliver the Chairmanship Candidates and Councilorship Candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on the Saturday council elections.
The people made the declaration during the PDP grand finale of the chairmanship and councilorship candidates campaigns in the local government area at Sagbama town to solicit for the people’s support to ensure the party candidates victory come Saturday, 6th of April, 2024.
The PDP grand finale which became a festival of celebration, was attended by traditional leaders, political leaders, stakeholders, elders, women and youths from the various wards across the local government area to solicit their total support.
Political leaders, stakeholders, elders in their solidarity remarks, thanked the people of the local government area for coming out en masse to declare their total support to ensure the landslide victory of the PDP chairmanship and councilorship candidates on the Saturday elections
The Sagbama Vice Caucus Chairman, Dr. O.O Osusu, OON, in his solidarity speech, thanked the people for coming out en masse to attend the grand finale of the party campaigns, stressing that on the day of election, they should vote for the PDP to have an elected female chairman first in the history of the council basically.
He used the medium to advise the chairmanship candidate to work closely with the women, men, youths and elders when elected into office as council chairperson for the progress and development of the local government area under her leadership and governance basically.
In her remarks, the PDP State Woman Leader, Hon. (Mrs) Dame Christie Ebeli acknowledged the presence of members of the state house of assembly, chief of staff government house, and other critical stakeholders for attending the grand finale of the party campaigns to solicit their unwavering support expectedly.
Mrs Dame used the medium to thank the miracle and people’s Governor, Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo for the emergence of the chairmanship candidate, Mrs Alice Allen whom she described as a capacity woman to be elected as chairperson of the council.
Chief of Staff Government House, Dr. (Pst) Peter Pereotubo Akpe in his solidarity remarks, thanked everyone in attendance for coming out in their numbers to solicit their unwavering support for the party candidates on the Saturday council elections.
While congratulating Mrs Alice Allen on her emergence as chairmanship candidate, Dr. Akpe described the candidate as a humble, friendly, dedicated and hardworking woman, who has being unwaveringly loyal and committed to the party over the years.
In her remarks, the Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. (Mrs) Alice Tangi Allen thanked all leaders, stakeholders, elders and supporters in attendance for the massive support since her emergence as the chairmanship candidate of the party in the local government area.
She added by thanking God Almighty, the miracle and people’s Governor, Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, and other leaders of the party for giving her the privilege and opportunity to render selfless services to the people and the prosperity government.
Mrs Alice also thanked the Former Governor and Senator representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson for his good leadership attributes as a father and leader over the years, which is highly appreciated.
She stated that her administration will be a government of all-inclusiveness and unification, stressing that she will work closely with all leaders and stakeholders to ensure that the dividends of democracy is delivered to the people.
