ƘIRA is one of the oldest profession among Hausa people which has a major roles towards the development of society.
Maƙera is a factory or a place that is set aside for the business of processing ore, metals, gold, silver and others. ƘIRA is an ancient OCCUPATION that has a long history in Hausa Land and MaƘera almost make most of the tools used in doing many Hausa profession such as Wanzanci(Hausa surgery) Noma(farming) and other Hausa professions. The Ƙira occupation is divided into two parts, there is makeran Fari and Makeran baƙi.

2 MAƘERAN BAƘI : makeran baki is almost like the common of blacksmiths, which is used to manufacture tools such hoe, a sword, knife, iron shield, helmets etc.

Nowadays many occupation Among Hausa people is on the extinction due to neglect from the Hausa people and lack of government assistance in developing those occupation and modernizing them in order to be in same class with world industrious countries, Government needs to start investing in local occupation in order to boast the income of the country.
