The Arewa community paid a courtesy call on the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Transportation to congratulate him on his re-appointment and solicit his support in bringing government closer to the Arewa community in Mushin Local Government.
Emphasis were made on issues relating to unemployment, drug abuse, lack of comprehensive health facility, primary school and other amenities expected in human societies.
The SSA on Transportation responded that his office is opened to all and he would relate with the local government chairman and other stakeholders in different sectors of the economy to provide employment and garner support for the preservation of the existing infrastructures.
He also explained that the state cannot do everything and the community must take ownership of the infrastructures and guide them jealously for the purpose of functionality and durability.
Hon Toyin Aremu promised to work with the Arewa community and find lasting solutions to all issues raised through collaboration with the local and state government.
The visit ended with appreciation from the Arewa Community leaders and reiterate their commitment to work with the SSA in achieving a better society.
