He made my day yesterday. The suffering of 9 months came to an end when he touched my Honda 2018. At around 7pm, he returned the car and said the problem is done.
The new generation cars often develop complex electrical problems which our mechanics, despite the abundance of scanners, often find difficult to fix. So many things in so many garages have been tried on my car. Finally, when I drove it last night and this morning, it sounded like brand new, after a three day check by Abdulaziz.
Abdulaziz Mohammed, a 27 year old Yoruba apprentice, is a very amiable boy that has a lot of prospects in his profession. I have no doubt his future will be great as soon as he attains freedom. Right now, he has difficulty attending to multiple customers at once. And he does so tirelessly, respectfully and amiably.
So I sat him last Sunday when only two of us were in the garage and advised him on two things: one, continue to keep pace with technology and, two, remain trustworthy to your customers. Never dupe anyone or steal a part from his car. Be wise, not clever. He replied, “thank you, sir”, while genuflecting as Yorubas always do to their elders. He has become my son.
People like Abdulaziz need our support. I’ll give him a very invaluable gift when he attains freedom, in sha Allah.
Meanwhile, if you have a Japanese car that has a difficult electrical problem, meet this blessed young man at the garage of his master, Alhaji Kabir Abdulfatai, at

May God bless him and all the young that are working hard to learn a trade and earn legitimately. They are the bright face of our future.
