Beyond whatever anyone thinks or says about the general overseer of Omega Power Ministry, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, his ways, patterns, attitude and approaches in his pastoral life, it does not really matter to me and that is not the matter for now.
The trending issue of him taking up traditional kingship in his community, Ohanku, is what really matter, and I want to say a few thing about it.
People have to expressing different views on the issue, some direct, some through innuendos, but I think differently. In fact, am actually happy and love what I am seeing here.
The fact that the hitherto perception of old time religious beliefs that as a Christian, albeit a Pastor, you can not ascend the reign of customary rulership, is gradually passing away.
So, who said a man of God can not be king?
It is not through position and power that great and perfect change can be easily effected in society?
Take for example, the Emirs, like the Sultan of Sokoto is the head of the Islamic community in Northern.
The Emir influences and administers the northern traditional institution with Islamic dictates Nigeria, and encultured the religion on the people as their guide and way of life.
I am an advocate in the crusade for the need to have more men of God, particularly Pastors in positions of power and authority.
You can make changes better from the inside, when you are privileged and when you have proximity to the power.
A Pastor king have the opportunity to challenge and change evil and satanic decisions and patterns, those things you preach against, those customs that plaque us, those things that ordinary you could not change from after.
Heaven help those who help themselves….
