The Executive Council of The Ikorodu Students’ Association, on Friday, 26th of January, 2024, undertook a courtesy visit to Senator Abiru Innovation Lab, marking the commencement of an exciting collaboration aimed at fostering innovation and empowerment within our student of Ikorodu.
During the visit, President Toba-Dosumu And other executive engaged with the management team to explore opportunities for a an empowerment scheme. The discussions centered around leveraging the lab’s cutting-edge resources and expertise to empower students with skills essential for the evolving landscape of technology and innovation.
Mr President expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “This collaboration with SAIL aligns seamlessly with GOAL I [Innovation and Creativity] of our localized Developmental goals tagged “Ikorodu Developmental Goals”. It is in our commitment to provide valuable opportunities for our students. The empowerment scheme will equip them with practical skills and knowledge, ensuring they are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the future.”
As part of the collaboration, the empowerment scheme will include STEM, Data analytics, Software Development, Programming, Backend and Frontend Development, and access to state-of-the-art facilities at the Innovation Lab.
This initiative is a testament to the commitment of both Ikorodu Students’ Association and SAIL Lab towards empowering the next generation of leaders and innovators.
