Business Tycoon OLAJIDE BOLANLE (JB), Political Analyst and practicing politician AYOKUNLE ADEDEJI (AFFABLE), and Political Leader AJEWOLE TEMITOPE (EGWO) were officially received yesterday, January 24, 2024, by their Ward Chairman Baba Olatunde Samuel Rebel and all Ehin-Ogbe Ward 1 executives.
Prince Bolanle OLAJIDE, who joyfully noted that APC is his home and it’s a way of reuniting with his family, He noted that, in his own capacity, he has been doing his best for the Party in Time memorial, which is why he picked its membership card last year. He noted that, for one of two reasons, the official reception couldn’t be done last year.
While reacting, Mr. Bimbo Bayode, the Vice Chairman of the Party in Ehin-Ogbe Ward 1, welcomed the trio in a joyful manner. He said the trio are all big fish in the political space of Owo. He emphasized that Prince Olajide Balanle has been a friend of the party and has also given the party succor in the past years. He described Ayokunle Adedeji, popularly called Affable, as a politician of note with uncommon virtue who actually was a candidate of the Zenith Labour Party in 2019 for State Assembly Owo Constituency I and has been a strong force in Unit 5 of Ehin-Ogbe Ward. Affable boldness, activism, and competency are great tools for the party, says Mr. Bimbo.
In his words, Hon. Chief Ayokunle Adedeji (Adunbaren of Ipele Kingdom), popularly called Affable in a lighter mood, said the decision to join APC is a critical decision to progress politically in ensuring to give hope to the youths, to be politically conscious, and eventually to give the dividend of democracy when the time comes. He said he feels at home since friends and family were already members of the party, and they have always been on his neck to come home.
Hon. Ajewole Temitope Egwo, a strong force in Unit 6 of the ward who also defected to the party, said he has come to strengthen the party, and by God’s grace, he will be part of the progress of the party any day and any time.
Members of the party who reacted advised the defectors to be conscious of three things: i. not to be in haste to reap or enjoy the party quickly.
ii. To be patriots and to put in all their best.
iii. To support the party financially, morally, and physically at all times.
The Chairman of the Party, Baba Olatunde Samuel Rebel, later, on behalf of the Executive and the entire members of the APC in Ehin-Ogbe Ward, welcomed them all in Trinity and prayed for them that their coming would be a blessing to the party, and during their time, the party would know it for good and progress. The Chairman also described Prince Olajide Bolanle as a rare giver, and he was proud to associate with him.
