As the governorship election in Ondo State draws nearer, an aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress( APC), Rt. Hon. Mayowa Akinfolarin, has promised an unprecedented development in all strata of the state’s economy.
Akinfolarin, who said this at the sideline of a town hall meeting with some stakeholders on Tuesday in Akure, assured them of a new dawn if voted into power.
He said that his administration if elected as governor would return its ruling party to the people by ensuring that the party become more responsive to the citizens yearnings.
” Workers welfare will be topmost of my priority through prompt payments of salaries, leave bonus and other allowances.
“The capacity of every Ondo workers to deliver topnotch services would be enhanced through training programmes.
According to him, senior citizens will be accorded their place of pride through prompt payment of their pensions and gratuities.
He further said agriculture remains the mainstay of the state’s economy if it is properly done in order to create jobs, raise incomes, reduce malnutrition, and kick-start the economy on a path to middle-income growth.
“I will turn the state into a huge construction site with projects dotting the entire landscape of the three senatorial districts. I have a track record of success.
“Also, Akure will regain the status of a 21st century state capital with top grade and first class infrastructure, and a destination hub for investment.
Akinfolarin, however, said the state stands to benefit more from him due to his years of experience in both the public sphere and private domain.
