In addressing the recent allegations against Hon. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, the Minister of Interior, it is crucial to maintain a discerning perspective. No amount of PR in support or to oppose have the capacity to definitively judge or vindicate him, individuals or groups who engage in such are not interested in a functional system, they’re either doing so for personal motivation or to fulfill animosity.
In response to these concerns, the President has initiated a formal investigation, currently underway. The world awaits the comprehensive findings that will impartially clarify the situation. Despite the Minister’s defense on national TV, the inherent conflict of interest in self-judgment remains evident.
Let’s refrain from polarizing stances of ‘support’ or ‘against’ and redirect our energies towards more productive pursuits. The collective interest in seeing Nigeria thrive transcends personal biases or animosities.
As advocates for a functional nation, let us patiently await the results of the investigation, recognizing the need for an unbiased evaluation.
