The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted bail to the suspended Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Calabar, Cyril Ndifon, in the sum of N250 million.
He was also granted bail on self-recognition of his counsel, Okon Efut, a senior advocate of Nigeria.
Although the bail application was not ripe for hearing, Justice Omotosho granted him bail for two weeks to undergo optical surgery.
The tentative bail period is from January 10 to January 25. Ndifon and his counsel are required to deposit their travel documents with the court.
The case will continue hearing on January 26.
