We have recorded different events in the State in few weeks and the unfortunate announcement of the demise of our Dear Governor has changed the narratives and reconfigured the political system.
The unwarranted display of strength and political muscle in recent time and the outcome of such, is an attestation to the saying that power is transient
Pathetically, we refused to learn from events around us.
In scheming for political relevance through consultations and visitations to elder statesmen and national actors with unachievable promises and lies, remember that your character and antecedent will be largely considered by the electorates and the masses which you have abandoned and neglected for years.
In setting up strategy and mapping out plans on how to win Primary and general election, it shouldn’t be done in a cruelty and nasty style.
We are people of unflagging conscience and high level moral standard, such character of humanity should guide our play of political games.
Your interest in Politics should be for the wellbeing of the people and such notion should be a guiding principle in vying for power.
Do not be desperate in search of political power
Be guided by ethics, affection and love for the people of Ondo State.
Your reason for contesting the number one seat of Ondo State should be primarily to improve the lives and contribute to the general development of the State.
Do not be motivated by fame, wealth and status
You must be decent and responsible in your political ambitions.
You must respect the rule of law and play a decorous politics that will not involve bloodshed, killing and maiming anyone.
Politics must be a means of creating opportunities and ensuring development.
Politics must be about the larger populace and devoid of personal interest
Politics must be an agenda for growth and survival of the citizenry
If your ambition to become Governor of Ondo State is driven by selfish interest and family agenda, may you never clinch the party ticket
If your political ambition is driven by the urge to gain fame and build more houses for yourself and your family, may you never win.
If your ambition is not about the challenges faced by the people of Ondo State and you are striving to become Governor of the State, may you never win
May Almighty God give the victory to the best among the political candidates.
