Osun State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo has disclosed that the people will soon begin to enjoy the special agro-processing centre set up to encourage micro industries to thrive in the state.
This was disclosed on Wednesday during the Commissioner’s working visit to the centre, located at Erin-Osun, Irepodun Local Government area of the state.
Rev. Jenyo stated that the special agro-processing centre will assist Nano and micro industries, as part of the efforts of Gov Ademola Adeleke to create an enabling environment for all categories of business to thrive in the state.
The common facility Centre, facilitated by the Federal Government with about 6 plots of land was donated by the Erin-Osun community.
According to the Commissioner “the Federal Government will soon provide automated gaari-processing equipment into the centre for the use of interested citizens”.
“The varying types of equipment that deals with gaari processing from the beginning”.
“The processes to be conducted in the common facility Centre include the peeling, washing, grating, fermentation/pressing, frying, packaging, distribution and marketing”.
The Common Facility Centre which is created to nurture Nano and micro industries, is expected to accommodate about twenty gaari processors at the inception.
