Dr. Abu Temitope, the people’s choice for the vacant Stool of Olupele, graced the occasion with his presence to honor this distinguished woman.
People from far and nearby gathered in Ipele Kingdom to pay their final respects to Late Princess Grace Idowu Aladesawe, who peacefully passed away at the age of 78.
Dr. Abu Temitope who attended the Church Service held at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church in Ipele, and was warmly received along with his entourage as they joined the event.
Dr. Abu Temitope described Mama as a woman who always desired the best for her children and was resolute in providing for their needs and securing a stable future by covering their school fees. In his words, Mama was a strict disciplinarian who had no tolerance for dishonesty, and she was known for her exceptional generosity and sacrificial giving. Mama had a strong emphasis on cleanliness and adhered to hygiene rules, making her truly unique.
The Egbe Alayere were among Dr. Abu Temitope’s supporters, firmly believing in his capacity and capability to lead the people of Ipele, and they were pleased that he answered the divine call to bring hope to his people.
Late Mrs. Idowu Aladesawe, born on March 1st, 1945, in Ipele to the family of His Royal Highness Oba John Faboomola Awoyeba, was married to the late Pa. Samuel Bamidele Aladesawe, a retired superintendent of Prisons.
She was a well-known personality in Ipele Kingdom and served as the Iya Egbe (Leader) of the Igbeyin Adun Group.
The deceased’s daughter, Mrs. Clara Durosaro, who is a friend of Dr. Abu Temitope, described her late mother as a loving and caring figure, and her passing was unexpected. She emphasized that her late mother would be greatly missed.
