Photostory: INTERWEAVE Executives meets Rugipo Dean Of Student

Within the miday hours of Monday 15th August 2022, The Facilitator ( Obanoyen Abiola Adidas) and The Newly Elected Executive of INTERWEAVE PROGRAM Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo Ondo State Chapter On a courtesy visit to the Deans of Students.On the arrival the Dean of Students Affairs warmly received and welcomed the Facilitator and other 4 Executive members of INTERWEAVE PROGRAM.

While speaking the Facilitator (Mr Obanoyen Abiola) submitted that the visit was to get the leadership of Students Affairs Unit Familiar and well aquanted as the activities of both sectors are concerted and mutual and to also inform the Dean of Students about the INTERWEAVE PROGRAM and Request for His opinion on the impact of the program going to make in the life of the students. 

He added by requesting for the Dean of student in ensuring that the Program should be added to the courses the students are offering, mostly students that are offering EED, Master of Business in the Street (MBS)/Success Ambassadors

We train people in developing countries, simple way to improve their micro businesses and become more self reliant. We offer an MBS curriculum and then train people how to be Success Ambassadors and how to offer the MBS program.

 Success Ambassadors can earn money by offering the MBS program to NGOs, governments, churches, etc. Addressing the Executives the Dean of Students assured the readiness of the students affairs unit under His leadership to support the program and work on having the program added to one of the courses the students are offering immediately after the Inagauration of the new executive and Graduation of those that just concluded the program on campus and also assure them of the opportunity to use the 800 Seaters lecture room for their upcoming event.

He advised them to serve as role models to the student community, stressing on the need for students to be committed to their studies while being disciplined and adhering to the rules of the Institution, especially the professional dress code.

Mr Elebute further charged the new executives to employ the right channels when seeking information from the authorities of the school.

He mentioned that his doors were always open to students especially the leadership of the various student groups.

“You should not hesitate to call on me when you need information or clarity on something,” he said. “My office is always opened for engagements.”

He advised the new executives to continue with training programmes and activities that offer support and soft skills to their members.

The Mayor gave a vote of thanks in which he stated of the Executive loyalty, willingness and supper ready through our Regimes to take the program and union to admirable heights.
