The Ogun State chapter of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has accused Governor Dapo Abiodun of poor electricity supply and mismanagement of road contracts, claiming it has worsened living conditions for residents.
CUPP, at a press conference in Abeokuta, urged the governor to adopt solar or independent power projects to enhance economic stability and accused his administration of awarding contracts to unqualified individuals without due process.
In response, the governor’s media adviser, Kayode Akinmade, dismissed the claims as baseless, lauding Abiodun’s efforts, including the construction of over 600km of roads and the establishment of the Ogun Electricity Market (OGEM) to improve power supply and industrialization in the state.
