The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command arrested four minors, aged 11 to 15, for stealing iron rods from an uncompleted building in Guzape. Residents alerted the police after noticing suspicious nighttime activities. Investigations revealed the minors sold the stolen rods to a scrap dealer, “Babanbola,” who is currently being tracked by law enforcement.
The FCT Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, urged parents to monitor their children’s activities and stressed the need for construction site owners to improve security measures. Arrested minors will be rehabilitated in juvenile homes.
