TINUBU NAMES AISHA GARBA AS UBEC BOSS TO CHAMPION QUALITY EDUCATION REFORM
-President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed Aisha Garba as the new Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).
-Aisha Garba is an international development expert with over 24 years of experience in designing and implementing impactful education programs across Nigeria and internationally.
-She has over 15 years of experience at the World Bank, leading education reforms from design to impact assessment.
-Garba holds a combined degree in English and Computer Studies from Petra American University (2000) and a Master’s in International Development from the University of Birmingham, UK (2007).
-Tinubu is confident in Garba’s ability to enhance access to quality basic education and equip Nigerian children to compete globally, aligning with the administration’s educational goals.
