Rescue teams have recovered four bodies and four survivors following the capsizing of a diving boat off Egypt’s eastern coast in the Red Sea on November 25, 2024.
The boat, carrying 31 tourists and a 13-member crew, was struck by a large wave near Marsa Alam. While 32 survivors have been accounted for, eight people, including tourists from various countries, remain missing. The boat, which had departed on a multi-day diving trip, sank within minutes of the wave’s impact, and ongoing search efforts are supported by military personnel and divers.
