Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has boldly stated that he will conclude his tenure without fear of being pursued by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) or any other authority.
Speaking during the Feast of Christ the King Mass at the Government House Chapel in Owerri, the Governor expressed confidence in his leadership and his legacy in Imo State.
“I will leave office as a free man, sleep with my two eyes closed, and without fear of anybody, including the EFCC,” Uzodimma asserted.
The Governor reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling his promises to the people and emphasized that his administration’s focus has been on creating prosperity, infrastructure, and dignity for Imo State.
He challenged anyone with evidence of wrongdoing against him to come forward, insisting, “I have kept my covenant with God and my people.”
Governor Uzodimma’s remarks come amidst scrutiny of state leaders across Nigeria, with citizens increasingly demanding transparency and accountability.
