Access Bank has refuted allegations regarding the disappearance of N500 million from a customer’s account.
In a statement released on its social media platforms on Sunday, the bank asserted its commitment to ethical practices and denied any involvement in misconduct.
The claims originated from a viral video by social media influencer Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, who accused the bank of unethical dealings related to a deceased customer’s account.
In its response, Access Bank emphasized that the security of customer funds is a top priority and categorically stated that the allegations of missing funds are unfounded.
The bank confirmed that no amount, including the claimed N500 million, is missing from any customer account and noted that independent investigations corroborated its position, affirming its adherence to high ethical standards and respect for customer privacy.
The bank advised the public to refrain from trusting or believing sensational and unverified assertions.
