APC chieftain declares destabilising the PDP as a strategic move in the party’s pursuit of political dominance.
A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Cletus Obun, has asserted that it is within his party’s responsibilities to undermine the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Obun, who previously served as the chairman of the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) in Cross River State, described the destabilization of opposition parties as an effective political strategy.
He made these remarks during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme.
This statement follows comments from PDP member Segun Sowunmi, who attributed the party’s internal issues to President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Nyesom Wike as the Federal Capital Territory minister.
While Sowunmi criticized this decision, Obun defended the practice of destabilizing rival parties, provided it does not escalate into violence, stating that such actions are a legitimate political tool.
