The Bono East Regional Communications Bureau of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has condemned Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, also known as Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, for spreading lies and deceit about former President John Dramani Mahama.
In a statement read by the Bono East Regional communications officer, Mustapha Muhammed, said, Rev. Boateng, who has been implicated in criminal activities, including holding dual identities and squandering over 2.5 million Ghana cedis related to the National Cathedral project, recently visited Techiman, attempted to deceive the regional clergy by spreading false information about John Dramani Mahama.
The deceit, according to the statement was that, John Mahama is not a good Christian and therefore unworthy of people’s votes.
The NDC urges Ghanaians to see through Rev. Boateng’s actions, which are motivated by desperation and deceit. They emphasized that Rev. Boateng’s actions are a calculated attempt to mislead and undermine the integrity and character of John Dramani Mahama through religious politics.
The NDC called on Ghanaians to stand firm with the truth and reject Rev. Boateng’s deceitful claims. They also urged citizens to vote for John Dramani Mahama, who embodies the values of honesty, compassion, and integrity.
The NDC’s statement also highlighted the party’s plans for the future, including conducting a forensic audit and inquiry into the National Cathedral scandal and prioritizing value for money services, focusing on transparency, cost efficiency, and sustainable development practices.
