Governor Alex Otti of Abia State names those allegedly sponsoring insecurity in the region. Read his bold revelations.
Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has linked the increasing insecurity in the region to opposition politicians allegedly collaborating with “external parties.”
Abia has experienced a surge in violent incidents, including the recent killing of two Nigerian soldiers at a checkpoint and the murder of a police officer during an attack on a lawmaker’s convoy.
The Nigerian government has often pointed fingers at the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for these occurrences, although IPOB has consistently denied any involvement.
In a statement released by his media aide, Ferdinand Ekeoma, Governor Otti asserted that his administration has gathered evidence indicating that opposition politicians have been financing the violence since late May, aiming to create discord and divert the government’s attention from state development.
He emphasized that these politicians’ initial attempts to discredit the government through misinformation have failed, as the people of Abia have recognized the truth.
Otti reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to maintaining peace and stated that it would not succumb to intimidation or blackmail.
