Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Nigeria’s Minister of Interior, has lauded the peaceful conduct of the #Ondo2024 Governorship Election and the professionalism of election officials.
The Minister shared his experience after casting his vote at Unit 17, Ward 3, Okeagbe in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State. “At exactly 11:34 a.m., I cast my vote in the #Ondo2024 Governorship Election. It’s been a peaceful election with officials displaying high-level professionalism coupled with an encouraging turnout of voters,” he stated.
His remarks highlight the efforts of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies in ensuring a transparent and orderly election process.
Tunji-Ojo’s observation aligns with reports of minimal disruptions in the state, fostering hope for credible results. The Minister also encouraged citizens to exercise their civic rights and maintain peace throughout the electoral process.
