The APC Ijebu North Campaign Team was met with exceptional warmth and enthusiasm during their visit to Ward 4, Osun, a rural ward with a deep commitment to the party’s success in the upcoming local government election. Pastor Mrs. Yemisi Balogun opened the event with prayers for the campaign team, the candidates, and for victory at the polls.
Campaign Director-General Wasiu Sotubo recognized the presence of Baales from various villages, ethnic group leaders, the farmers’ association, and market leaders, acknowledging the unity and support across the ward.
Hon. Stephen Adeyemi the Ward Chairman, honored the memory of Ward leaders late Alhaji Oduwole and Hon. Dr Oshin with a prayer for their souls. He then assured the campaign team of the ward’s total commitment to the party, expressing confidence in an overwhelming victory. Hon. Adeyemi reminded attendees to safeguard their votes and maintain vigilance on election day.
Hon. Kazeem Adesola Adefisan encouraged the ward to maintain the momentum from the last election, emphasizing that their strong turnout earned the ward heightened recognition within the party.
The program included a vibrant cultural interlude led by Mrs Yemisi Balogun, Assistant Woman Leader of Ward 4. The performance, rich with wisdom, advice and messages of support, entertained and inspired the audience.
Representing the state governor, Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives Otunba Ademola Balogun Klass highlighted the administration’s achievements, including infrastructure development, improved healthcare, empowerment initiatives, and security measures. He urged community leaders to spread the governor’s message and mobilize additional support for APC. Klass commended the governor’s commitment to fair representation across Ogun State and mentioned recent efforts, such as pensioner payments, cooperative funding, and initiatives addressing herder-farmer conflicts. Alongside Hon. Mosun Oladipo, the APC Chairman, unveiled all the candidates, presented the party flag and offering them guidance and well-wishes.
Chairmanship candidate Mr. Bolaji Odusanya outlined his previous achievements and shared his future plans, including enhanced support for farmers, scheduled meetings with Baales, and a readiness to work in alignment with JFA’s initiatives for local agriculture. He urged community leaders to submit their needs through their councilor or ward chairman and expressed appreciation to the youth, campaign team, and all attendees.
Chief Mrs. Olatuke Motara, Iya Oloja of Ijebu Igbo, closed the event with heartfelt remarks and a prayer for safe journeys and success at the polls.
