Daniel Bwala, Atiku’s former aide, claims certain northern figures are fostering a perception that President Tinubu opposes the North.
Daniel Bwala, a former aide to ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has implied that certain northerners within President Bola Tinubu’s administration are fostering the perception that the President harbors animosity towards the north.
Bwala mentioned that Tinubu does not harbor any ill feelings toward northern Nigeria, nor does the region feel animosity towards him.
This statement follows the controversy over the arraignment of the malnourished #EndBadGovernance protesters.
Peoplesmind covered the uproar and public outcry following the arraignment of protesters, many of whom were minors, who took part in the recent #EndBadGovernance protest.
In response to the public outcry, Tinubu ordered the immediate release of all detainees on Monday.
Nevertheless, Bwala encouraged the President to adopt an unconventional approach when engaging with northern elites.
The president, @officialABAT, does not harbor any animosity towards Northern Nigeria; similarly, the North holds no ill will toward President Tinubu. It appears that those from the North who are close to him might be either creating or exacerbating this perception.
Bwala posted on X that the President should consider using an unconventional approach to engage with northern elites, as it seems the traditional methods may be subject to manipulation.
