Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara recently spoke to a throng to honour his accomplishments during the previous 12 months. He used the occasion to give thanks to God for the advancements his administration has made in spite of obstacles. According to a video that SYMFONI TV posted, Fubara claimed that many people questioned his government, said it wouldn’t last more than a week, and even attempted to thwart his efforts. However, a year later, he and his group had not only persevered but also enjoyed a number of successes.
Governor Fubara also seized the opportunity to dispel harmful rumours floating on social media in the middle of the state’s political tensions. While encouraging the audience to ignore false information and instead focus on the positive improvements taking place in the state, Fubara informed them that all government workers’ salaries had already been paid. He told Local Government (LG) Chairmen that their funds will be put into their accounts soon. He emphasised the significance of this, stating that his administration will always prevail over critics.
“We are not here to celebrate failure,” remarked the man. “We are praising God for taking us to higher heights.” Governor Fubara’s speech was one of hope and assurance, promising continuing support for Rivers State residents and sustained growth in the next year.
