On Friday 31st of March 2023, The Ondo Progressive Young Women Forum led by Mrs. Temitope Iwagun-Ogunmolasuyi held a stakeholders’ round table discussion at the APC Secretariat, Akure.
The meeting which was well attended by young women from the three senatorial districts deliberated extensively on the just concluded 2023 general elections in a bid to re-strategize ahead of local government election and 2024 Gubernatorial election in the State.
The discussants believe it is very expedient for the ruling party to start preparing towards the all-important LGA & 2024 governorship election so as to enjoy a series of early mover advantages when the time is ripe.0
The session did not go without some interludes by the energetic young women stakeholders who after presenting detailed reports of electioneering from their various wards and local governments were seen singing, dancing and rejoicing over the resounding victories of APC candidates at the different levels of the last elections.
The State Publicity Secretary of the Forum Miss Akinfiresoye Leah Tolulope and her Organising counterpart, Adewale Adenike, after the meeting addressed the press on the positive impacts of progressive young women in Ondo State, including the different ways through which the Forum actually contributed massively to the success of APC at all the recent elections.
The State Coordinator, Mrs Temitope Iwagun-Ogunmolasuyi earlier in her opening remark encouraged the women to prepare to do more as they do not have to rest on their oars, given that the import of winning the forthcoming gubernatorial election with a landslide cannot be overemphasized.
She also appreciated the three senatorial coordinators in persons of Mrs Akinduyo Foluke, Mrs Afolabi Mary, Mrs Omotehinse Jumoke and all the state central executives.
The reward for good service they say, is more service”
