Plateau North Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the recently concluded 2023 election, Amb (Dr) Chris Giwa joins Christians in marking this year’s good Friday which commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Mount Calvary.
According to him, rather for believers to be in despair and mourn over what happened centuries ago, they should rejoice in the fufillment of the biblical prophecy that our Lord Jesus Christ will undergo such tribulation which is the ultimate sacrifice he made which opened the way for salvation and reconciliation between God and humanity.
To buttress it’s significance in today’s world, he urged believers to honor the way Jesus Christ underwent tremendous suffering and died for the expiation of their sins by upholding his virtues of sacrifice, peace, tolerance, and piety, in all facet of their lives.
Also, he called for unity among believers stressing that Jesus Christ while alive never practiced discrimination of any sort, and therefore, Christians should see themselves as one and be the light of the world in deeds and practice.
He offers his warmth felicitation to Christians in Plateau North, Plateau State, Nigeria and the world at large on this special day and called for sober reflection and introspection.
