Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the March 18 gubernatorial polls, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi has urged Christians all over the world to imbibe the spirit of love and tolerance this Easter.
Osanebi in a goodwill message this morning in Asaba to mark this year’s Easter celebration, admonished Christians to subscribe to love and sacrifice for humanity, which the death and resurrection of our Jesus signifies.
“The only reason for these festivities is Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection epitomizes love, peace and sacrifice.
“Easter, signifies hope and salvation brought to the world in need of redemption. The world would be a better place today if the values and virtues of Jesus Christ while he yet lived, especially his undying love for humanity which led to him laying down his life on the cross of Calvary so that we all may be saved, were practiced faithfully by Christians.
“I therefore call on all Christians to put to practice the teachings of our saviour by showing love, tolerance, kindness to one another and also make sacrifices for the common good of humanity.
“On behalf of myself and family I wish you all a very happy Easter celebration”, part of the message read.
