Alhaji Jibrin Yusuf trekked from Gwange Sabon Layi in Maiduguri, Borno State, to Yola, Adamawa State, to express his satisfaction and joy over the reelection of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for a second term.
The man’s trekking from Maiduguri to Yola demonstrates his enthusiasm and regard for Governor Fintiri’s leadership qualities, abilities, and achievements.
Alhaji Jibrin Yusuf stated that Governor Fintiri’s tenacity, tranquilly, and calmness during the saga surrounding the election’s inconclusiveness inspired him to embark on the long journey, something that other politicians should emulate or learn from.
This demonstrated that the Governor has won and captured the hearts of many people in Adamawa State and beyond with his leadership style and dedication and commitment to good governance.
According to Yusuf, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri was declared the winner of the 2023 gubernatorial election in Adamawa State after a keenly contested race. The Governor’s victory was well-deserved, considering his numerous and significant achievements in office, including massive infrastructural development, free education, improved healthcare delivery, and enhanced security in the state.
Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri, who received the man, expressed her gratitude to Alhaji Jibrin Yusuf for trekking from Maiduguri to Yola simply to show his happiness and love for her husband, Governor Fintiri.
She thanked him for his thoughtful gesture and prayed for his safe return to Borno.
“It’s heartwarming to see individuals go out of their way to express their love and appreciation for others. Alhaji Jibrin Yusuf’s act of walking all the way from Maiduguri to Yola just to express his admiration for Governor Fintiri demonstrated the depth of his feelings for the governor, and any acts of kindness do not go unnoticed,” she added.
Alhaji Jibrin Yusuf’s trek from Maiduguri to Yola to celebrate Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s reelection is a testament to the Governor’s popularity and acceptance among the people of Adamawa State.
Alhaji Jibrin received gifts from Her Excellency and Director of Youth Mobilization (DYM) which include cash donations, wrappers, and souvenirs among other items.
