Says Ndume’s effort towards signing of the Peace Corp bill rekindled hope and aspirations of the generality of Nigeria youth.
The National Commandant of Peace Corps Nigeria, Prof Dickson Akoh represented by Borno state commandant of the corp ,Tahir Mohammed has on behalf of Peace Corp, thanked senator Mohammed Ali Ndume for his untiring support and relentless efforts in sponsoring for the passage of the peace corps bill.
The commandant was speaking during a sallah homage to the lawmaker at his residence in Maiduguri. The passage of the bill, he said has further rekindle hope for the teeming youth and women who are ever ready to serves the nation.
Tahir said for the huge support being given to the Peace Corps of Nigeria during one of the organization’s toughest times in history, posterity would reckon with Ndume’s personality and his dream to make Nigeria a better place for all. He described the senator representing Borno south as a national hero who is seen by many young people as a father and mentor.
Responding, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume thanked the corp officers for their resilient and patriotism to serve the nation. They said the sallah visit has further strengths the relationship between him and the command.
The former Senate leader encouraged them to remain steadfast and committed to Nigeria project under the Tinubu’s administration.
