Yakmut: Who the cap fits for ministerial appointment from Plateau State

Yakmut contested for the Plateau Central Senatorial zone, but withdrew from the primaries an ahour to start on the directive of the Party’s leader to support the consensus candidate. He was the former Plateau State Coordinator of APC-PCC Contact and Mobilisation and handed over his office to the directorate for all their activities. Yakmut worked to ensure that the APC won at all levels by meeting with all aggrieved members of the party and giving them reasons to support the party. He also provided two brand new Sharon vehicles branded for Tinubu/Shetima and Nentawe, employed drivers, provided fuel, and gave feeding allowances to APC members for campaigns across the 17 local governments of Plateau state. Yakmut hosted over 200 APC members in Jos Plateau state during the APC Presidential Flag off and sponsored a sensitization program to enable members collect their PVCs across all the federal wards of Jos North, some parts of Mangu, and Jos South through the ward executive. He also sponsored a youth program in Jos tagged “Operation tell one to tell ten about Tinubu/Shetima Presidential bid” through the state leadership of APC National Youth and Women Task force Plateau state chapter. Yakmut is a patron to more than 10 APC support groups in Plateau state and sponsored many of their programs and activities towards APC’s victory. After the APC primaries, Yakmut sponsored the Northern Youth Parliament of Nigeria NYPN to organize a World press conference in Abuja to endorse Tinubu/Shetima joint ticket. Three days before the Presidential election, Yakmut relocated to the central zone of Plateau state and visited party Excos, stakeholders,different groups and associations personally.

Yakmut’s dedication and commitment to the All Progressive Congress (APC) and its success in Plateau State make him a strong candidate for the position of Minister from Plateau State. He has shown his support for the party in many ways, including hosting over 200 APC members in Jos during the APC Presidential Flag off and sponsoring a sensitization program to enable members to collect their PVCs across all the federal wards of Jos North, some parts of Mangu, and Jos South through the ward executive. Additionally, Yakmut is a patron to more than 10 APC support groups in Plateau state and sponsored many of their programs and activities towards APC’s victory. Yakmut’s passion for All Progressive Congress (APC) and his ability to rally support for the party make him a strong candidate for the ministerial appointment from Plateau State.

Yakmut was not involved in any anti party activities which can be attested by the leadership of the party from the state down to his ward. Additionally, he can not foldly said he deliver Plateau central zone for APC but contribute alongside other stakeholders of the zone through his Senatorial campaign structure across the five local Government of the central zone.
