Award-winning singer Davido has reacted to the unsolicited help by his logistics manager, Isreal DMW.
The ‘Feel’ crooner unfollowed Israel on Instagram after the latter apologised to the Muslim community on his behalf.
It was reported that Davido tweeted a music video in an attempt to promote his music artiste, Logos Olori.
The ‘Jaye Lo’ music video, which featured scenes of some persons praying and dancing in a building which in some way looks like a mosque, was, however, found offensive by some Muslims, who described it as disrespect to their religion.
Davido has since deleted the video on his page after a series of backlash and appeals.
The singer has refused to make any further comment on the controversies trailing the 45- second video clip.
Having witnessed the trolling, Isreal DMW took to his Instagram page to apologize to Muslims on behalf of Davido, saying that the music was purely for entertainment.
While Davido has kept mute over the issue, Isreal DMW, in the now-deleted post via his verified Instagram stories, wrote: “Let me especially apologise to my Muslim brothers and sisters, on the video my oga posted, as a result of him wanting to lift up somebody, which is one of his hubbies. It was purely an entertainment effort wrongly presented. Make una no vex. Love you all.”
This action followed praises on Isreal’s smart move, netizens commended him for being thoughtful.
Despite the show of concern, Davido appeared not pleased with the act, which may have earned the unfollow.
