Super Eagles defender Olisa Ndah faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a serious injury, a blow to his club and country.
According to his South African club, Orlando Pirates, Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah will be out of action for an extended period.
Ndah was injured during the Pirates’ league match against Polokwane City last month.
The center-back, who was substituted by Nkosinathi Sibisi with four minutes remaining, was named Man of the Match following the encounter.
A statement on the club’s official website reads, “The Bucs medical department has confirmed that the 26-year-old has sustained a tibia fracture.”
Because of the injury’s location and nature, deciding on surgery isn’t straightforward. However, given this type of injury, Ndah has been ruled out for the remainder of the year.
Due to the injury, the former Akwa United player was unable to participate in Nigeria’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya’s Mediterranean Knights.
