1. Damagum refused to support Wike at the PDP Presidential primary election due to his loyalty to Atiku Abubakar. This is an undisputed fact!
2. After the PDP primary election, Damagum was one of the strongest supporters of Atiku Abubakar, he won Yobe State for Atiku at the Presidential election even when the state has APC Governor. All those shouting Damagum out should bring results of their Polling Units and states.
3. After the election, Damagum was regularly present at the Presidential Election Tribunal up to the Supreme Court to give full support to Atiku.
4. When Damagum was elevated to be Acting National Chairman, the first person he went to visit was Atiku. He broke salah fast with him at his residence.
5. Damagum refused to bow to pressure by ensuring that the process that produced Dino as governorship candidate in Kogi State was not sabotaged despite the pressure. It is not his fault that Dino could not even vote for himself nor win in his Polling Unit.
6. Unfortunately, those that benefitted from Damagum’s loyalty are the frontliners of the campaign against him.
7. When Damagum became Acting National Chairman, he refused requests from Rivers State individuals who had earlier sabotaged Fubara’s case at the Appeal Court to present a lawyer for PDP at the Rivers State Election Tribunal who would undermine Fubara’s case.
8. As per the Rivers PDP Crisis, the PDP Governors Forum and Damagum agreed that they (Governors) would address and propose solutions for lasting peace – which Fubara and Wike consented to. It is not Damagum’s fault that the PDP Governors are yet to propose any solution.
People should leave Fubara out of their grievances with Damagum, Damagum has always protected the interests of Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State, this the Governor is aware of.
9. Damagum has never left PDP since 1998, but those claiming to love PDP more than PDP itself have been jumping from PDP to others when it had favored them.
10. Ugochinyere Ikenga Imo who allegedly owns APP and still claiming lover of PDP, could not win his Polling unit for PDP at the November 11, 2023 Imo state election even as a Director General of the campaign
11. They keep accusing Damagum of working to unseat Governor Fubara, but when it was impossible for Fubara loyalists to use PDP to run for Elections and Fubara’s loyalists used APP, Damagum did not condemn the Governor.
12. They said Damagum should suspend Wike because he collected appointment in Tinubu administration, but they didn’t call for the suspension of serving PDP Governors that submitted names to Tinubu for appointments. They didn’t call for suspension of PDP BoT Chairman that endorsed LP’s Alex Otti for reelection in Abia State. They didn’t call for the suspension of Atiku loyalists in Rivers that did press conference to call for support for Tinubu administration. They didn’t call for suspension of those that worked for APC in Rivers and other states where they don’t like the Governorship candidates.
13. Wike did not support Atiku for President, Asue Ighodalo in Edo and Dino Melaye in Kogi, but Damagum supported all of them, and still supporting Asue in his case to reclaim his mandate. These critics will not mention this!
13. The crusade for Damagum most go is the same tactics used by Jonathan must go crusaders which brought APC and crumbled the country. #NeverAgain
