A former member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Ibrahim Bala has obtained the expression of interest and nomination forms worth ₦6 million of the All Progressives Congress, APC to contest the chairmanship seat of Keffi Local Government Area in this year’s Local Government election in the State scheduled for Saturday November 2nd.
Bala popularly known as Moscolo picked the forms at the state’s Secretariat of the party in Lafia on Wednesday.
Speaking shortly after picking the forms, he promised to serve the people of the area with integrity, transparency and compassion if elected.
The frontline Chairmanship aspirant stressed that he has the political will to move Keffi to greater heights.
He also promised to create an inclusive environment where everybody would be listened to and feels respected if elected as Chairman.
“As you may be aware, I’m contesting for the exalted position of Keffi Local Government Chairmanship.
“As I embark on this journey toward the Chairmanship of Keffi, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt intentions and the vision I hold for Keffi.
“It is with great passion and dedication that I seek the support and trust of people of Keffi in leading us into a brighter future.
“In Allah we trust, and I believe that leadership is not just about making decisions alone; it’s about listening to people, understanding them, and working together to meet the needs of the community.
“My objective is to be Keffi local government chairman who will open the lines of communication, value every voice, and create an inclusive environment where everybody would be listened to and feels respected.
“I am committed to prioritizing the issues that matter most to our people, ranging from education, security, health and social welfare especially improving business activities that Keffi in is known for, creating opportunities for growth and development.
“If given the opportunity to serve the people of Keffi, we shall do our best to lead with integrity, transparency, and compassion.
“Now I have picked the nomination form, we shall continue to make contact, interacting with our people at the grassroots. They are our people, I’ve been a grassroots politician, I have been with my people with or without political appointment.
“So I know my constituency, I know our people, I know our problems and most importantly we have capacity and the political will to move Keffi forward. I always believe that together, we can tackle our challenges and celebrate our successes.

The leadership of the ruling party had recently adopted consensus as mode of primaries to select candidates for the election to be conducted by the state electoral umpire, NASIEC.
